Try waiting 6 months for one single pullet when you've got a pullet just like her hatched on the very same day that started laying weeks ago! That's some confusing stuff right there! Defective, lazy, master of mind games? Who even knows at this point!
I’m currently waiting for my SFH to lay, chicks that hatched with her have been laying for a month!

I'm at 26 weeks and still waiting impatiently! I have 1 pullet that I don't know the breed of and am hoping her egg color will give me more clues. None of them laying. None squatting either. Cant wait to see my Cream Legbar egg! And my EE's! Good Gosh chickens...Just lay an egg already! :barnie

No don't count her out I'm going to blow your mind! The one next to her with the little pale comb is laying! Bad photo but she's impossible to photograph.

They will lay when they lay. I have had hens lay at 18 weeks ,31weeks and everything in between.
Face and comb will be bright red, vent will get moist ,the pelvic will spread to about 3 fingers wide, they'll squat when you /rooster is near. If you have a rooster about 2 weeks after mating you should get a egg.
From my experience.
