And darn it, I again forgot to pull my trail cam that is aimed on my chicken coop.
My hubby is on vacation this week, so we are staying at our farm (about 45 miles from home) so he can do some hunting and trapping. My girls here haven't been laying very well, and i didn't bring eggs from home, so i was gonna make some cookies and needed eggs. Begged the hubby to go down to the coop to get the eggs. He wanted the cookies badly enough, that he traipsed down to the coop in his tank top undershirt, underwear, and rubber boots.

when he came back, he said he saw the red light on the camera, so it got his pic. :D

I fried up my first egg in butter, even though it was very tiny, and ate it with great ceremony. You said you've never had fresh eggs before? Oh, get ready to be amazed! I'd never had eggs *this* fresh before. The yolks are SO orange, and they taste like butter! I'd never liked soft cooked eggs before, but I love them now. Delicious.

This is the beginning of a great new adventure for you and your girls!

He knows how crazy i am about my chickens, and my addiction to byc, but he'd never believe that all you other crazy chickens ladies exist. He thinks its just me. :lau

I ate my first one fried on a BLT. The egg was very small and the bacon overpowered the flavor.
 
If he knew how many there actually was of us it'd scare him to death. :)

Aww poor Dahlia she still laying through it? One old folk remedy for that is sulphur mixed with the feed. Not going to lie I've tried it and it dried the girl right up and it didn't come back. Sometimes old crazy cures are the best cures. :)

So what did you use for the source of sulphur? Do you remember how much you added or how often?
