Aww surely you'll get one nice fella out of those. Good that they're bantams if they get out of hand you can just stick them in a shoe box or something. Mr.Cletus wasn't mean he just wanted attention and if i wasn't fast enough i got bit. He was just way too big for me to deal with him and his demands. He was a cute little chick, always did look a little like a buzzard though. :)

LOL I Call that the velociraptor phase.

My little hens are i won't say smart but they have some good days. The flying yes indeed, great flyers. They're just so anxious and absolutely love to sneak up and bite the other girls. Never gave Susan 1 a long enough chance to see if he was super crazy. I do know i don't like chasing chickens and his dumb butt was making me do that alot.:)
I've heard this from more than one person -- Easter Egger roos can be aggressive and crazy.

My EE hens (and roo) are the smartest of my flock though. The best at flying too.

I didn't realize EE roosters had this reputation. I have a docile EE roo and thought EE roosters might all be on the wussy side of things.

Honestly, I think it's the luck of the draw and if the hormones don't drive them completely nuts. You could end up with Fabio or Ted Bundy, pretty much just how it is with any roosters. :)

Everyone I talked to, when I told them EE, they all said, "Oh, Easter Egger! Yeah, they can be awful!"

If I ever get a rooster again, I'll get a mature old fella, who's proven himself to be safe with kids, butterflies, me. He'll probably be worthless against predators though. Guess that's the trade off.

Even that little fru-fru rooster of mine chases stuff out of the yard, he has to take breaks since he's pretty much a ball with legs but he does try. I was going to say i did have one EE roo that was good when I was a kid, but he did end up trapping my mom on the back porch...so nope didn't have a good one. :lau

What a great visual! Ball with legs. LMAO!
We had a cat come near our girls when they were out ranging. My little bantam cockerel start chatting up a storm. Did almost NOTHING to protect the girls, but at least got our attention. Didn't even bother chasing them away from the cat. Just started yelling his little head off.

He is a ball with legs lol! His legs and very short and stubby and about twice the distance apart as other roos..you could basically drive a Buick between his little rooster knees. I can see your little bantam "hey, somethings out here...not going to do anything, just giving y'all a heads up!" What a gentleman. :lau

Exactly! It kind of reminded me of Hei Hei from Moana.
