Congrats on that pretty egg!

On my computer screen it looks beige. When I take pictures of eggs they never come out the actual color. As for size and shape -- you may have an increase in size somewhere down the road.

One of my EE girls lays a smallish/slenderish egg that has not increased in size. She is my smallest pullet though.

I had 3 dozen eggs in the frig last night, so decided to use some up. I did a test batch of pickled eggs. Now, I have not eaten a pickled egg since I was a kid, but thought I'd give it a go. Did one with beet juice that I think might be on the sweet side and a spicy batch that likely will be very spicy. Used recipes off the net. I only did 4 jars with 4 to 5 eggs in each -- one set for my friend to take home to feed hubby. They look good I guess.

I've been taking the chicks out 2 or 3 times a day and letting them run all over the living room. Of course, poop everywhere. I just pick it up with a damp cloth. Baby Eve is getting along pretty well and seems to be happy to have company. When I get her out of her cage she leaps and bounces all over. The babies are super fast and enjoy climbing on me and peeking under the couch with Eve. The also take mock dirt baths on the carpet.

I put 3 six day old Buff Orpington chicks under my silkie to raise on 5/22. I got one (Huey) stud and two ladies (Dewcy and Lucy). He's learning his part in life. Now for the slackers to step up. By my calculations they should be about ready to lay any day now. Sadly the Silkie died two weeks ago. So no new eggs till the new kids get it in gear.

Well Im ok with it if the eggs don't get bigger,I'm just glad for eggs!!!I wasn't sure if I should expect changes or not.it is the prettiest egg I ever saw:)

In my house it was dark so it looked darker but out side it has a greenish blue look.I hope the rest of my girls follow suit and start laying now!

I didn't think I would be so excited but I couldn't help it!he supports the chickens and will enjoy the eggs but he just isn't into the chickens like me:)

We have the first fable and my brother has the second and third and every now and again we will just up and play it and beat it,and then we play around on it for a while, the game really is a fun game:)

Got my first egg from a little pumpkin serama pullet. I have 2 older girls in that pen but they are still raising little ones, so I don't think either of them are laying again yet.
Bigger egg is from a bantam cochin pullet, not sure which girl, she started not long ago too.

It looks green to me. & I believe earlier on we all discussed our crazy chickening outfits. We're major fashionistas here. Crocks, holey paint splattered shirts and sweats. Sometimes mowing the lawn in chicken pjs. LOL

I have the same problem with my photos too! I can tell who lays which egg for some based on the size and shape, but I have to have one to compare it to. I have 4 eggers and Olive lays a blue egg w/ a rounded end, but the White puffer lays a blue egg that's longer w/ a pointier end. Damon lays a green egg w/ a rounded end and the other White puffer lays a green egg w/ a pointier end. Sometimes I can't even tell if the egg is green or blue unless I have one to compare it to. My eyes play as many tricks on me as the camera does!
I'm super excited b/c the last 3 days I've been getting 6 eggs as opposed to the 4-5 I was getting. It seems one or 2 of my blue layers has started laying again b/c I've gotten a blue egg each of the past 3 days where I hadn't had any in weeks. I got them some canned mackerel to treat them this weekend so maybe the extra protein will encourage them.
