I'm new and one of my eggs is hatching and needed a Lil help but...

Trying to post a small video but I can't get it to work out but it shows the chick is chirping n breathing n wiggling a bit
About the wiggle I worry will it emerge to soon now (I know this is my fault I'm just so new and I had no one to help I hope it makes it

The blood vessels do look smaller
now much more than when I first saw them

Hang in there with monitoring and give the baby some time Its REALLY easy to start panicking and worry about them hatching out OK, but it is a process they go through...so hang in there Try not to open the bator too much so the humidity stays up!

THANK YOU @AmyLynn2374 for checking into this thread!You are a great support to hatching!!! Will this baby be able to finish on its own with so much of the shell missing? Or will it need to be helped out the rest of they way when veins have shrunk?

Thank u I will and I have been reading as much as I can to help myself better understand my mistake and learn more about it I thought I had a good understanding buy I have so much I can learn here

YAY!!! Yes...keep updating! And no matter how long you have been hatching, it is always a learning process have received a lot of great information, advise and support on BYC!!!

Just checked up on the chick and it's still doing very well despite the missing shell
Is it possible for blood vessels to look thicker
Like maybe itseems apart of being absorbed

Not sure...They usually shrink up...can you post a current pic?

Don't help the chick out. If it doesn't make it out on its own, there is a reason why it did not. If you want to, i would wait until more experianced people say something. I've only ever hatched under broodies, with no hatching issues, so I'm not sure how to help the little guy out. I'll be praying though!

Maybe a new explanation about how long 21 days is, is in order.

When you set your eggs do not begin counting the elapsed time until the end of the first 24 hours which counts as DAY ONE.

BTW, that is a beautiful picture of a chickens' egg tooth. I mean that wee bump on the chicks upper beak.

It's moving n well but the vessels now look a bit bigger but some are fading away I suppose but I don't know at least it's chirping n looks fine other than the shell missing n looking weird thank to me it blurred a Lil because she or he moved as I took it
