Yes....you still have some big veins there so just sit tight and let that baby absorb them...my chicks pipped the outer shell and then rested and absorbed for 24hrs before they zipped their egg....so this is what yours is working on now. Have any of your other eggs pipped that you can see? Don't open the bator to check though! You want that baby to stay moistOne of the vessels looks bigger than it did before is that normal is it like a sign that it's being absorbed
Yep...they are shrinking up! And baby moving and chirping is a good sign. Remember they rest also so don't get too worried if he gets quiet Thinking tomorrow morning or afternoon those veins will be absorbedThey are looking smaller now that's a good sign still chirping n breathing fine n movubg here n there![]()
Viens are shrinking and the membrane still looks nice and moist. Its good baby is still moving and chirping! Hopefully this baby will be ready tomorrow sometime! Those other babies will come along when they are ready! Do you have the brooder ready? And if you have a small pet mirror or stuffed animal you may need it in the brooder with this baby until some friends hatch outOK another update
The vessels are almost gone now and she or he is still moving n active and looking good here is a pic if right now and in a few hours it's will be literally 24 hours from when I discovered the internal pip
Also the other 9 eggs I have with it I had seen that 4 others were almost ready to internally pip
LIke u could see then snuggled up to the air cell n what looked like they were pushing at it here n there n resting the other 6 look as though they need an extra day before they even get to that point is that normal I feel like it is

YAY!!!! Good news another has pipped! This baby will take another 24hrs from this point. It is doing inside it's egg what the baby you assisted is doing now. Absorbing veins and the yolk. So just sit tight and let the baby go through the process. Do you have something in the bator to measure the humidity? What is your current humidity at?So I'm I was so focused on this Lil baby that I didn't notice till at this moment that another had externally pipped
I just danced around the room I'm so excited
But again worried
what signs of distress should I watch for? because I feel humidity is to be a issue cause it's a diy incubator I had no time to test and nothing to measure humidity other than my eyes n candling and they seem great but it's literally hatch day I worry about cause I can't maintain a higher humidity View attachment 1067353 View attachment 1067353 View attachment 1067353 View attachment 1067353 View attachment 1067353 View attachment 1067353 View attachment 1067353 View attachment 1067353
