I'm NEW here! Say something to me! I need some feedback :)

Welcome to BYC! I've only had Rhode Islands and Ameraucanas. The Rhode Islands were always at the top in the pecking order, although mine weren't very mean, just curious. The Ameraucanas were definitely more wary of me then some other breeds I've had. Good luck!

yes, the rhode island red chick definitely pecks way more than the rest, but we are handling her, so she will be extra nice once she is older. thank you!

I have two brahmas, and they were in fact the first chickens I ever had so I can definitely say I didn't realize how much larger they were than "normal" birds. My newest additions had reached full size and I didn't even realize it. They are very sweet birds! I also have one barred plymouth rock hen and she is the sweetest of all of my birds. She loves to investigate anything I am doing and she lets me hold her while she makes sweet purring sounds. One of my brahmas has chronic bumblefoot and she patiently waits on her roost ever day for me to pick her up and put her on the ground.

awwww they sound all so sweet. i am so excited about the chicks that i picked out. everyone, i totally recommend townline hatchery. yes, it is a hatchery, but they all came healthy and happy, all are hens, and they even were happy to put a green dot on the rhode island reds, so we knew which one were which. thanks again!!!!

Hello and welcome! You've picked out some great breeds. I have two buff brahmas. They're hatchery stock so possibly not as large as they're supposed to be, but they're still big and fluffy, and fun to watch. I have some new chicks coming in June... I love to go to the Review section and read about the different breeds and look at the photographs. Be sure to post some pictures of your flock someday. We love pictures!
