Im new to starting.

Hello and welcome. This is a group with an international membership so knowing what country/state you are referring to by saying the Lancaster area would be a great starting point in offering you some suggestions. Most local farm stores, feed stores, many garden shops, etc offer chicks during the spring.... and fortunately, buff orpington are a very popular and therefore commonly found breed in these offerings.
You could also post to your local Facebook poultry groups or homesteading groups as you may very well find someone in your area who breeds and hatches and would be able to offer you chicks from their stock

Welcome to BYC!
Looking at a map I made of different hatcheries, I see that there are 2 by Lancaster, PA. However, 1 does not have buff orps. Reich's Poultry Farm is close to you as well, but there is a 15 minimum per breed!!
