So, what would you guess the gender of each of these beauties?

    17 week old Buff Orpington:

17 weeks old Partridge Silky (sorry about the blur - it's a hyper chicken and won't sit still!)

    9 week old Bantam Cochin:

Would it help if I told you that #4 is the meanest of the bunch, and CROWS? LOL!

I would have guessed #4 is a roo.....and of course #1. My boys/girls of same breeds & ages look same.
That cochin is tricky tho. I had a (I thought boy) feather out like a boy, grow a comb and waddles at 8 weeks big red like a boy..... thought it was a boy until one of the TRUE boys started to jump on top of it.... ya know... [IMG] ....wow I was shocked....its a girl! guess he would know better than I... [IMG]

Quote:I don't know about the crowing - although I vaguely remember someone on here posting that they had a hen that crowed, but I would believe you about #4 being the meanest. I had two EE'ers, one of whom eye pecked the others so bad I had to rehome it to a single chicken home. The other is skittesh and won't have anything to do with people. I won't be getting EE's or Araucana's or anything along those lines again.
