I'm on day 14 and worried/losing eggs

Does your unit have 2 vents 1 in 1 out?

no, it only has the one from what I see

I apologise it was late last night and I guess my brain stopped functioning....there are 3 holes in total:
One at the top which has an opening that can be adjusted. I leave that 1/3 open.
Two further holes, that are nonadjustable, smaller but at the bottom edge which give access to a tray each and you use them for adding water or water spills out of those if you add too much.

I have an external pip in the egg that was moving and chirping late last night. It's Day 21 for this little Dutch Bantam and it's hatching in my Brinsea Maxi Advance. It incubated in the NR360 until the very end of Day 17.
@uktech how are your eggs doing today? What day is this for them? I've got 2 eggs out of 5 that were developing under my broody Silkie. All of these eggs are from the same shipment, which was one of the better shipments, from the seller and postal service, but the postal service still took way too long

Hey Heather, they are doing ok, I guess. I've been paying closer attention to the temps and have noticed since removing the last batch of eggs, the temps around the edges of the incubator are about half a degree lower, so moved eggs into the middle as much as possible and upped temp ever so slightly. Hatching is expected sometime next week around Wednesday, fingers crossed.

Update - Day 2 of the lockdown with the eggs that survived.

Can hear loud as well as soft chirping which sounds like at least two different eggs. Kids are so excited hearing the sounds, really hope these little fellas hatch ok.

Edit - just spotted one has pipped.

Woohoo Two hatched day 20... both escaping their shells within an hour of each other.

At least one of the remaining eggs is also pipped. Kids are over the moon.

Not sure if there's anything to worry about, but these two made the remaining eggs roll around quite a bit in the incubator. Anything to be concerned about? (edit nvm, have found some answers to this)

Have moved them out into the brooder now and they are fast asleep.

So day 21 and one more hatched however not so straight forward this time.

It has yolk still visible and it has what looks like umbilical cord still attached to it. It's been about 5 hours since the hatch, the little one is in the brooder sectioned off so the other two can't peck at it. However, I'm concerned if it will make it through the night. It's smaller, weaker, and extremely lethargic and constantly chirping (like it's unhappy) going round and round in circles. It's on its feet but can't walk properly, it's just dragging itself around with the umbilical cord trailing behind it.

Unsure of what the right course of action is. It's had a few sips of water. Thinking about dissolved sugar maybe but nothing else right now.

Final update for this thread:

The two that hatched are happy healthy and enjoying life.

The poor little fella who was the 3rd to hatch sadly was suffering too much. Aside from the obvious, the main cause was a lump almost the size of its skull but further down its neck. It wasn't visible when it hatched but under that cute fluffy hair, it was getting bigger and bigger. Explains the difficulty in breathing and constant cries. Had a vet take a look, and we had to put her to sleep as it was suffering way too much.

Same day we went back to the farm where the eggs came from and picked up 5 little chicks a few days older than our two. Kids picked them and they are now living together in the brooder/dollhouse. Amazing little dudes all very happy and glad we got them.

Thank you all for your help and advice and I hope it comes in handy for others too. It's now time to finish the coop and get it ready for the new residents.
