Congratulations!

congrats! I did saltine crackers, dry and ginger ale but it had to be either Segrams or Schweps as Canada Dry was just too sweet. Also peanut butter spread thinly on toast.

I had sickness through both kids, always at night -and through the entire pregnancy with both kids.

When I was pregnant I worked in a 120 degree greenhouse and the only thing that worked for me was sour altoids.... they were a godsend.

Phenergan thru an IV

And it only worked in the first dose....the rest didn't work..

I had severe hyperemesis of pregnancy. I puked so much I busted all the blood vessels in my stomach and esophagous and bled internally and puked blood up constantly. I had to be given blood, stay in the hospital my whole pregnancy to be kept alive thru IV fluids. I went months without anything by mouth, drink or food. I lost 20 pounds during my pregnancy. I almost died a couple of times. It was really bad. The most horrible excrutiating pain I have ever been thru but thankfully I gave birth to healthy children! Each pregnancy got worse...I had 3. They gave me a Csection as soon as they thought the babies could survive on their own due to my being so bad off.....BUT...I would do it all over again for them. I love them so much.

Hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy!!!

I was very sick with both kids and this seemed to help... I could not handle any of the ginger stuff.
Peppermints also work really well. I was given this recipe and it worked great, though the thought of the ingredients was almost too much to handle!!!
Chopped ice
two drops of peppermint oil
white soda
& 1 TB Kayro syrup. ( that is the nasty part)
Mix it all up and drink it. It is pretty good after the first taste!! I promise.

congratulations what a blessing...make sure your vitamins are not making you sick...mine did as soon as I found out I was pregnant I started taking my vitamins in the morning that is when my doc told me to take them. That very morning....barf...the next....barf...I was like what the heck the very day after finding out I get sick...it was like a conformation of my pregnancy. Come to find out it was the vitamins doing it...your doc can give you a different kind if that indeed is what is making you queezy.

....congrats again.

b12 vitamin 25mg three times a day. When you wake up, noon and night. Same time every day. It takes a week or two, but it'll stop it. Every anti nausia medication on the market today carries heafty risks serious birthdefects. Anything from internal organ misgrowths- to missing limbs and even miscarriage. My good friends husband is missing both feet and most of one leg due to the nausia medication his mom took while pregnant. My cousins son who's just 4 couldnt urinate because the duct from his bladder to the urethra was connected back to his kidneys or some such ridiculous thing. Nearly killed him. because she took what was promised as the safest most benign medication available from her doctor....

anyway, vitamin. It was the only thing that kept me from horking up my food. I thought maybe I had just outgrown the nausia, but whenever I stopped taking the vitamin, even just ONE pill i'd throw up the next day. I was about 4 1/2 months before i could stop them... lol. they say if you take it past three months it can keep your body from being able to absorb the other b vitamins, so i switched to a complex to make up for that.

dont get out of bed without something on your stomach. Saltines are your best bet, they dont make you throw up like tollhouse or other dry snacks will.

Have fun! Its like having the flu, worms and PMS all at the same time... wonderous.
