I got out of the shower and wham, new chick. I see one shell zipped but can’t tell if that’s the one it came from.

There’s one egg in the back behind that one rocking.

And the one front right corner is still zipped but not hatched.

I didn’t know that, that may be why I don’t have any fertile quail eggs.

I only know that about the males because I was reading about sexing adults. When they are “in season”, males will have a foam that you can express from their vent by pushing somewhere above their vent.

I don’t know the precise details because I haven’t really researched it in depth yet.

Ugh. Some are ceramic coated and should be safe. But I’m not taking a chance with should.

Heating up non stick coated pans releases fumes that will kill avians. Even old well used pans.

I did not know that . . . Mine are now all stainless steel because I got tired of all the coating flaking after maybe a year of use.
