I'm psychic! My goose is a pervert!

She is, Exactly as tall as he is, but he bites a LOT harder! Plus ever since he attached himself to her back (left a crazy oval bruise) last summer, she has been terrified of him, screaming if he is within 50 feet of her... which is tricky because his goose hut is only like 20 feet from the house.... I'll try to check out that book, but want to add that he has charged my CAR, which is a LOT bigger than him, and the one time I stopped (so as not to smush him), he got all rude and tried to eat me when I got out of it, so now I just slow down and keep moving, which means that eventually he backs off.... and I win the 'King Goose' award... they shouldn't call it 'playing chicken', they should call it playing goose!

Geese are bullies. If you call their bluff, they back off.
If you run, they win.
If you charge back at them, they turn tail and run in just about every instance.
That is how I "trained" the geese at the park not to charge and bite me when I bring them duck food. They will stand there untiul I get the bowls of feed filled and then come and eat. Most even eat from my hand.

Next time your child is out there and the goose starts charging, stand with your child and both of you charge back at the goose yelling NO! You will have to do this failthfully. Also, if your child is going to run screaming, keep her out the area. Only let her in there when you are there to help her bully back. The screaming tells the gander is is the bigger bully. Gettign your child to run is just icing on the cake.
