I'm So Exciited!! Broody Hen

We use chain link fencing I'm just hoping they do not pop open of the fence when they wander around. I have two mastiff that would say snack.still waiting next week on Thursdays.

I have two German Sheppard's and 11 cats and they don't both the chickens or the babies thankfully . The babies are so small they get right through the chain link fence we have also

Big news!!! My first Easter Egg hatched and there is one beautiful baby chick!! I am so excited!! This chick that I am naming "Rome" peeped yesterday, there are 2 more eggs in Hatties clutch to still hatch out. I will get pictures later as I have a busy day today. I still have the chick in the nesting box with Hattie, and Clarice is still helping too. I will leave the chick in there for 2 days unless the other 2 eggs hatch before then. What an amazing miracle!! Made my day! Now if the potbellied pig will wait to have her babies until later today everything will be good! Thanks for listening.

So far two baby chicks both are Easter Eggers. The Mothers Hattie and Clarice are doing wonderful as well! Yea

Thanks I am so happy that some hatched. I am going to candle the other two eggs and see what is going on with them tonight. My next eggs should hatch in 3 days.

Going to move my broody hen and eggs tonight so she can have her own space for chicks can't wait.
