My mother's sifter was double; it had two layers of mesh. I haven't been able to find another like it. The spring steel on the handle broke, and I can't even find replacement steel!

We used to have one. My mom was a confectionist. Made wedding cakes and candy. And was a seamstress known for her christening gowns. I could probably still use a smock gathering machine

Another toy that came in a cardboard cylinder.

If I remember correctly these were cardboard cylinders but it also came in metal cans. Note the Captain Kangaroo marketing tie-in.

I remember the monkeys and I think mine were in a tube.
The PlayDoh came in metal tins but with a plastic top I think.
