I never did. I had free ways to get hurt.Ok, who here hasn’t injured themselves with these……show of hands please.
They still make that you know - along with the chocolate one and I think maybe lemon. I cannot guarantee the recipe hasn't changed but it is still square, it's still in the refrigerated section of the grocery, and it does say "classic" right there in the box. That's a sign, right?I loved the coconut layered square cake kept in the fridge
"He said he was a big tool and die man." ~Lola FandangoI'm so old I remember working as a tool and die machinist in the mid 60's. Winter hours we worked 12 hours a day M-Thur, 11 hours on Fridays and 9 hours on Saturdays. We worked another 8 hours on every other Sunday.
Anyone's mom - or as in my case auntie - have a selection of these copper jello molds hanging on the kitchen wall?
Define injure. Are we talking a random bruise on your forearm now and then or projectiles flying off in all directions?Ok, who here hasn’t injured themselves with these……show of hands please.
My brother has a lot of old-school kitchen gadgets he uses. It's just one of many perks of living in one of the original 13. Auctions and yard sales are vastly different here. A good find like that is rare as hens' teeth.I know these are still made today, but still an old school item IMO. Anyone still using them?
I wouldn't be without it and I've actually got 2. One looks like that and the other has 2 layers of mesh with fins/blades/ whatever you call them that go back and forth like an impeller as you squeeze and release the handle. Love them both but the impeller one has a couple of advantages. Larger capacity and no flour sprinkling out the side hole by the handle.
