Very weird to put a native American ( or Indian in those days) on the TV screen when there was no broadcast. We didn’t have anything like that.Bet a lot of us old folks will remember seeing this on the tv late at night.
Im so old I remember my grandparents didn’t have a flush toilet, but an incredible deep hole in the ground under the toilet seat. They used old newspapers to wipe the dirt of, if they were short of money.
I remember when my grandparents only had an outdoor toilet (I mean in a shed rather than in the house). I don’t remember if it flushed. I think it did as they were in a city and that sewer system well pre-dates me!Im so old I remember my grandparents didn’t have a flush toilet, but an incredible deep hole in the ground under the toilet seat. Not during family dinners, cause there’s only four of us, but on the rare occasions we had another family over.Who remembers getting relegated to one of these during family holiday dinners?
And somehow being sent to the ‘kids table’ was a positive for those of us sent there, well for me at least…..if I remember correctly. Not during family dinners, cause there’s only four of us, but on the rare occasions we had another family over.
