I got a pager when I joined the fire department at 18. A few years later graduated to a nextel phone. I remember I had the phone during the anthrax scares years ago whenever that was. I was on a hazmat unit at the time and we was getting so many "anthrax" calls dispatch went to the phone for us cause it was too much radio traffic. Cause none of it was actual anthrax, people were just freaking out but we had to go check it out

I for one, as a male viewer, find the advent of the bikini one of life’s greatest imventions.

Why was everyone worried about anthrax? And how would they even know what to look for, to call y'all?

It started, as I recall, when some members of Congress recrived hand-written letters containing a mysterious white powder, which, when analyzed, proved to contain anthrax. I don't remember if anyone got sick or died. Mail then was carefully scrutinized and analyzed, and many more similar letters turned up. I think some were harmless copycats, but it was terrifying as anthrax is deadly..

I bought one last year! My DH mows with a power push mower and also now has a small rider as backup. But sometimes it all gets a little ahead of him and I decided I needed a push mower so I can keep the path to the chicken coop under control. It also gives me a little exercise.

Any random envelope seen laying on the ground got called on. It got unreasonable, people freak out. It wasn't like we could say no

I used cloth diapers 1994-1997 with my children at home & only used disposable when we went somewhere

And washed them in ivory snow

I used Pampers on my son (born 1975) but his sister (1978) was allergic to them, so cloth diapers it was, for her.
