I remember Dwight Eisenhower winning the presidential election in 1952.

My grandmother had a couple of the decorations from the inauguration. I remember a small fridge magnet "I like Ike", as well.

You got me there. I do remember Kennedy's assaniation in '63. I was in 3rd grade.

I can remember talking on the radio during the Korean war. I didn't understand the significance of who it was that was talking at the time. I didn't know what a president was and didn't care. I just wanted a coke and a candy bar.

No seatbelts or car seats for little ones on school busses either. If someone was standing in the aisle or actin a fool the driver would just hammer the brakes to teach them a lesson and we'd all get knocked around like pinballs as collateral damage.

I remember riding the school bus when I was really little and the bus driver hit the brakes crazy hard for some reason. I flew forward and smacked my head on the metal bar on the seat in front of me and got taken to the hospital. I had a lump on my forehead and I thought I was the luckiest kid alive because the fun nurse made me a hand glove rooster balloon. Drew eyes and everything on it Yep, no seat belts!

I remember what Woodwarding meant and did a little but not much of it. I only remember two of my little escapades. I smoked a Plymouth Barracuda once and got smoked by a Chevy with a 396 to my little Cobra 271 block. Wishing I still had that Fairlane 500 now.

I remember when holidays were observed by date not by the Monday after to create a long weekend.

Magnetic albums. They ruined the photos, so people stopped using them.

I still have a bunch all filled with pictures from before digital. I took less pictures then but I sure enjoy my old photo albums still
