I'm so old I Remember when:

Because the U.S. government has stopped minting pennies due to the cost of minting them is more than they are worth. Canada did away with their pennies years ago.

I remember when every little boy from first grade forward had a pocket knife they carried everywhere. Including school.
Not only boys. I still carry mine in my pocketbook. A few years ago I set off the alarms at the courthouse when they had installed a new X-ray system. Woops! :gig

The online dealers are offering 100 - 2025 uncirculated pennies (50 - P and 50 - D) for $9.95 + shipping.
Face value of 100 pennies is $10.00, right? So you can buy $10 worth of pennies for $9.95 plus shipping? Wow, what a deal! And people are falling for this scam? Shipping's got to be pretty expensive. I haven't weighed mine but they're heavy! :th

And milk was in glass bottles :love
We had Ice delivered to our home on the second floor. The "Ice Man" would carry a block of ice, on his back, up the stairs and then put it in our wooden Ice Box.
So many different people/jobs that disappeared over the years. The Ice Man, the Tinker, the Bread Man, the Milk Man, the Rag Man, the Vegetable/Fruit Man, the Doctor making house calls. All apart of my childhood that I haven't thought about for a long time.
