I'm so old I Remember when:

My Hubby is 70 and he is the son in law that goes and cuts up mums tree branches that self prune. Any excuse to get out the chainsaws.
Who else remembers "logic puzzles," where we had to figure out the relationships between objects and extrapolate? (You know, actually teaching kids how to think!)
For example:
Toes are to feet as fingers are to hands ...
or ... Cold is to Winter as Hot is to Summer
Well, Chainsaws are to big boys as LEGOS are to little ones.

Older people and chainsaws worry me because my grandpa died of a heart attack while cutting fallen trees with a chainsaw. He was just eighty.

I know that’s just one person out of many but still…
YOUNG people and chainsaws worry me even more! My college-aged nephew barely avoided removing his leg with one. Cockiness has absolutely no place when you're wielding a chainsaw ... a lesson he nearly learned in the hardest way possible. He says his new nickname is "Scar," but most of us just call him "Grace."

I remember catching fireflies and horned toads as a kid. We also had an abundance of scissor-tailed flycatchers. -haven't seen fireflies or horned toads in years, here. -only an occasional scissor-tail flycatcher.
There was recently (one of many, unfortunately) an entire grove of mature post oaks that was bulldozed for a neighborhood nearby. My heart sinks every time I see all of those majestic trees, that took years to mature, plowed down.
We have fireflies in VA.

I would have hurt you. Severely. I hate frogs and toads. To find them in my bathtub would be a heart attack waiting to happen
In our house it wasn't uncommon to find a snake in the bath tub. Kids had a pet corn snake.

🤔 That could have been my Mom and I.
(Explains some things.)
Mom left me on the car seat. When she stopped suddenly, my head hit the key in the ignition and I bled all over the place. She thought she killed me. I was too young to remember, but I still have a scar.

Snakes don't bother me, at all. Finding one in my tub would make me question how it got there but not give me the heart attack that a frog would
