I once told the story of a possum eating a road killed possum at the dinner table.

I'm confused...the possum was eating a road killed possum AT THE DINNER TABLE? Was he an invited guest?

Reminds me of the ongoing "Beverly Hillbillies" TV show gags about eating possums. [Hubby's great uncle wrote in his journal about a favorite meal when he was growing up, possum stuffed with sweet potato. Dunno, maybe it's delish?]

Possum is overall better, but only because the fat on the Possum isn't quite as sticky.
