I'm so old I Remember when:

We only use cast iron
I have a 10" skillet. I cannot get hubby to even try using it.

It's a Lodge, preseasoned. It has a slight stipple texture to it. Is that right? It's mostly good on the non-stick thing.
I really like my Revere Ware that you can't get any more.
I have my mom's Revere Ware.

Maybe you can use it to persuade him?

For the first time ima try to make a big pan of rocky road this weekend. It's hopefully gonna be great and not a disaster. I mean it'll still taste awesome either way just may not be photogenic lol. 9x13 shoukd be a good size. A couple weeks ago I accidentally made pralines trying to make a sauce for a pan of bread pudding. It came out great for a screw up.

Enjoy

You're gonna be a hit! I could eat all the pralines, however many it is.

I know you probably already know but immediately fill the pot with hot water and preferably clean it or it'll be alot of work together it cleaned if it just sits
Thank you! I’m sure everyone will enjoy them :)!
Has Rouses ever switched to self checkout? Last time I was there (three years ago) you could only go to a cashier (not that I mind, just wondering).

Don't know I haven't been in one in a while. Actually I'm pretty sure the one closest to us has closed or is about to

Bacon, from essential morning and cooking ingredient, to an evil pleasure occasionally. Sad! I remember the bacon grease container, out on the stove, never in the ice box! Used before rancid too.
Essential for REAL potato salad, corn chowder, potato soup, and green beans, at least. Also for fried liver, so many things.
Now it's more about olive oil...

I remember going with my parents to our friends cottage, they had wood burning range for cooking and baking. Evie and my mum made amazing breakfasts and other meals on that old range.

Bacon was fried first, then eggs, and tomato, and bread soaked up the rest of the fat 💕

Yum!

So long ago - I very much miss the great music laughter food and fun we all had, so so long ago.
