I can remember the sonic booms when the jets flew over.

Went to the Cleveland Air Show years ago and one of the Blue Angels broke the sound barrier. Hearing and seeing the cone was amazing, something I'll never forget

I loved in the movie "Repo Man"

A friend lent us that movie (on VHS, of course!). We gave it back and gave him the stink-eye, as neither of us liked it. He said he didn't like it either.

Lend someone a movie you don't like. Yeah, waste their time too!

My mom had me at the ancient age of 38 back in 1962. All her friends' kids were 8 or 9 years old.

One of them came home from a vacation and asked how things were going...?

My mom answered, "I have bird seed stored in the diaper pails now!"

My grandmother didn’t marry till she was 30, she wouldn’t marry until my grandfather built her a house. She proceeded to have her kids a couple yrs later, my uncle her youngest was born when she was 37.

Not a big deal as many women had kids up into their early 40s back then - my one great aunt had 18 kids - she was fond of saying if she had the wonderful ‘family planning’ they had now she wouldn’t have had any kids (something about having to care for all her younger siblings…).

They used to rub this on baby's gums for teething pain. They would sleep.
I guess it would be considered abuse now.
