I remember when a sheet of toilet paper was a page out of a sears catalog.
And all this time I thought that catalog was in the bathroom so Dad could read it while he sat, as he'd be in there a half hour sometimes.

That's why the sports section was in there. The one place he could read and not be disturbed.

We used to freeze cups of Koolaid with a "popsickle stick in them and sell them to the neighborhood kids for a nickle.
Here we used to make"zips". Plastic cups of kool-aid freeze it then flip the over in the cup. We had to cook it or the bottom (top) would be all sugar.

We'd call the plastic rings that held soda pop 6-packs together zippers. When you put your lighter to them, the molten globs of plastic would make a "zip, zip" noise as they fell to the sidewalk.

One of my cousins was pretty ripped. He would fold an 8 pack ring on itself until it was 1 ring, 8 layers deep. Then he'd put index and middle fingers of each hand through it, behind his head, and pull it apart.
