I'm so old I Remember when:

Anybody remember the Write Brothers Pens from Papermate? And the jingle?

"You can write your Congressmen, or a poem or a friend
With a 19 cent Write Brothers Pen.
It keeps on writing great,
'Cuz it's made by Papermate,
Write on, brother, write on!
With a 19 cent Write Brothers Pen!"

I think some foods should have warning labels like "You Can't Eat Just One".
Yup, truth. Potato chips are like kryptonite and crack rolled into one for me. But they have to be the plain, pure ones (Lay's Classic), not adulterated with BBQ or any other flavorings. I am helpless when there's an open bag of those anywhere within reach...

Should have done that to king size baby ruth too

I wanted to be a butcher when I was young for a long time.

At least a few big companies do that. Seen it with my own eyes.

And also there's a chain here called red lobster don't think they're still in business. They advertised fresh lobster. I woukd imagine "fresh" means not frozen. I guess technically they're right but the tails got to the restaurant individually vacuum sealed in plastic and frozen. A play with words
Red Lobster is still around. And yes, their lobsters are fresh. They have a large tank in the restaurant that has lobsters in it, you can pick which one you want. I have no idea if they wild catch them or breed them. But at least they aren't frozen. The last time we went to Red Lobster, hubby had shrimp and got very sick. We won't be back. Like everything else, it's going downhill, fast

It started going downhill years ago.

Case in point: Ponderosa. When I was a kid, it was amazing! Then they slowly started disappearing. Last time I was at one was in Florida about 15 years ago, and you didn't go for the regular menu items, you went for the breakfast buffet and no other meal. The regular items were utter crap!

They may have had some live ones in the front (I went in and out through the back kitchen ) but I saw a bunch of vacuum bagged tails thawing in a sink

I loved Ponderosa! We saw one in southern Ohio last year but didn't stop

I'm not surprised, honestly. When I worked at Olive Garden many moons ago, we cooked everything(not the pasta) fresh in the morning. The sauces, soups, lasagna... I wouldn't be shocked if things were brought in frozen now
