Me too, but I was forever scarred by Bambi at age six and I still won't watch Where the Red Fern Grows.

Where the Red Fern Grows was one of my favorites when I was little. When my first kitty passed away I told my mom I was going to bury her in a big planter and plant something over her...my poor smart mom whisked her away to be cremated, then brought me her ashes and told me to bury those instead. Understanding parents are a blessing. I still have that planter and always will...when I was a kid, watching the plants grow in it felt like my long long ago kitty was still with me and part of the world.
