I'm so old I Remember when:

I'm so old I remember these and they were a cheap way to keep sinuses open during colds. Now I can't find them in local stores. Seems they are being imported from India now. I wonder it is has to do with the suspect connection of menthol and dementia?

I remember using this many times growing up, not this brand specifically but something like it. It was very helpful at night!
And yes, I just realized I don’t see them anymore (last time I had a cold I had to use a wet washcloth next to my nose :hmm).

Menthol and dementia...? I haven't heard about that.
I'm not sure about Menthol or dementia. But the Vicks inhaler has a warning that some people may be allergic to one of the ingredients.
Maybe the Menthol drives some people crazy. An allergic reaction often causes very annoying itching ;)

I still use those. They last for forever so I was unaware they were no longer available.
I also use Olbas oil which is brilliant.

I think in the states they became an issue because they were being used in making meth.
Tweakers are another reason we can't have nice things.

in the early 90s people also wouid put them in their mouth backwards and blow the stuff in the eyes of another while on xtc at raves. The cold feel felt incredible on the eyes of someone on the drug. Kids do the darndest things. At least it wasn't a tidepod
