I'm so old I Remember when:

Has anyone ever driven a car with a push button transmission?
My sister had one. I thought it was way cool.
I remember watching the World Series when the Detroit Tigers were down 3 games to 1 to the St. Louis Cardinals and came back to be World Champions that year.
1968!!! My grandma LOVED the Tigers, and I remember her listening to the radio at night while she was in bed, chuckling to herself and saying, "oooo! Got him!" and "Gogogogogogogo!"

Then there was an earthquake in Oakland during the '89 Series. I'll be honest, most years , anymore anymore, I don't listen to much regular season baseball.

I'm so old I remember when baseball was fun to watch.... I don't watch it anymore. The only baseball I've seen in decades is some clips of Andrew McCutchen (Spelling) batting homers or making some good plays. He and I grew up in the same small town and I was privileged to take his photographs the night the high school retired his high school jersey.

A note not known widely about Andrew. He not only was a great athlete he was a great scholar too. I know a lot about the family that is oh so good but I'll let their privacy be respected.
