I remember using it once when I had a California crewcut. Flat top with long combed back sides. Had to use the wax to keep the center standing up.

I bet they don't teach reading a map or using a compass in school anymore, either. Do they in teach it in Boy/Girl Scouts?

A few scouts came up to me after orienteering and told me they had no idea how much they'd enjoy it and it turned out to be a favorite badge to learn. I wonder how many could still use a compass today.

My iPhone came with a compass app which suggests people do still use them.
