I'm so old I Remember when:

Next time you go, tell me which button it is from the top down and on what side (as in, button 2 on the left side).

Remember when pagers were a thing? For the youngsters on this thread, round about 30 years ago when cell phones were just coming on the scene and were out of the budget for most people, pagers (AKA "beepers" due to the alert signal they gave off) were used to notify people someone needed/wanted to talk to them. They'd display the number to call and/or a short message.
One day while standing in the checkout line at the local grocery, in front of me was a mother with a small child and in front of them was a quite large lady with her trolley. The toddler was looking around at all the goodies on display lining the "impulse aisle" when he noticed the lady in front of them. His little eyes got big and he started to say something to his mom who quickly shushed him and distracted him with a snack from their own cart. He looked a couple more times at the lady who took up most of the width of the aisle but Mom did her best to continue to distract him with banter and keep his attention on his snack.
Suddenly the whale's pager went off. The little fella shouted in a panic, "look out Mom. She's backing up!"
I had to leave the line to compose myself. :lau

I worked for a company that had a lot of mechanics in trucks, dispatched over a wide area, all taking care of oil and gas compressors. They all had pagers. They often came into the shop where I and a couple of other women worked to pick up parts they needed. When the guys' pagers went off they would leap into the air and slap at their, er, pockets, because the sensation was a bit like receiving an electric shock. It always left us girls in stitches.

I think it is so wonderful living through this rapid changes, remembering the old ways and learning new ways. Every day living is catching up to the rapid changes.
My blood pressure raises a bit each time I need to learn something new, or see the wrong way of how thing are being done now. The world is not allowing me to grow old quietly, it makes me learn new things and learn to accept the rapidly changing world.
