I'm so old I Remember when:

Ours was Murphy's 5 & dime. I remember the dyed chicks and ducklings at Easter.
The large 'container' of potato sticks - a small package of them for 5 cents - a treat every two weeks on pay day when we went to town.

So this is what everyone is seeing. Low flying jets. I thought there was something odd about planes lately.
Doubt it as they don't hover and then go straight up and down vertically. These jets move along at a couple hundred mph.

Back to phones for a minute. I have a distant cousin that has this phone on her kitchen wall.

I remember Woolworth's! It was THE place the shop for kid toys.

Does anyone remember the rotary dial phones?

The public pay telephones with the rigid phone cords? Calls were 10 cents.
Yup and yup. My #1DH called his mom from inside one of those pay booths on a snowy evening, to tell her we were engaged. It was cramped but warm with both of us in there. <giggle>
