I'm so old I Remember when:

My son (44) came out here last night to take aerials for farmers and asked if he could bring a load of laundry. (He's a bachelor again.) So he gets here and apologizes that he could have taken it to the laundromat but he didn't have time to stop at the bank first. Huh? He said last time it cost him $26 to do two loads. I remember a couple of decades ago going to one to wash a quilt and I think it was $3 total. I told him to NEVER go to the laundromat again, just bring them out here. Jeez, that's insane!
50 cents to wash in a big loader, 10 cents to dry..10 cents for ten minutes. This was the 70's.

I LOVE it. It's like they're 2 side of the same coin. Paul and Art's side is a warning to humanity, and Disturbed's side is a cry of frustration and rage that society has ignored the warning.
Never heard of Disturbed so had to go listen after your description. Well described.

But not Urban Cowboy? 🤣
That's not that old! (Well, mybe it is.:hmm) Disco was SO bad that we all switched to Texas Outlaw music. Made several trips to Gilley's in the late 70's. Mostly to get my butt kicked by the mechanical bull. Put that Lone Star in the back pocket of your jeans and two-step around the dance floor to Cotton-eyed Joe.
