Oklahoma during the '60s.1931??
I helped my brother deliver papers when we were teens in Denver. There was nothing to fear that I knew of, except that some of the other carriers could be a bit silly. My brother eventually stopped letting me help him, but it was years later before I understood why. I wasn't very smart. My mom used to deliver newspapers by bike in elementary school in her small town during the eighties.
Me too...just not as far back as the 50's. I had 2 routes and I loved starting my day in the dark and listening to the world wake up. I was sad to learn now days you need a driver's license to have a route.I remember as a pre teen riding a bicycle all over town delivering newspapers in the dark of the night even in what would be thought of today as the bad part of town without any fear. Times were good in the late mid to late 50's.
You have a PhD in the School of Hard KnocksTrue.
