I remember when I could buy vegetable plants around town from old folks. The had them in wooden shallow boxes on tables. They sold for normally 1-2¢ each. If they made $4 a week that bought a lot of groceries when 10lbs of potatoes cost 39¢.

I didn’t a somersault on a few occasions, usually at a fence refusal haha. But once when my horse was sliding down an embankment and stopped dead at the creek at the bottom - I did a complete somersault and landed on my fluffy butt in the creek - who knew horses could laugh

Similar here, but they would put plants and stuff at the end of their lane ways and you would pay in a bucket - there was never any stealing that I knew of…

No, I’ve only ridden a horse twice in my life - first when I was five and the guide was leading my horse through the prairie.
And last when I was eleven and got bucked off by a hungry gelding…having relieved himself of his burden he headed straight for the barn to get his dinner!
