I can buy wheat from our farmers Co Op. Then screen the rat poop out and make our own clean flour. I once lived in the town that invented sliced bread. I want to slice rat poop free sliced bread. Just imagine having fresh noodles that are poop free too.

We buy Oscar Meyer Bacon. Aren't they the ones that send out the wiener mobile? I've seen the wiener mobile in person once.

Oscar Meyer is the ONLY grocery store bacon we buy...may be a guilty pleasure, but it has the flavor we love best. A few local restaurants make their own delicious bacon, interesting but a lot of work (and they guard the details of their seasonings).

It was a very exciting day when the Wiener Mobile rolled into the A&P grocery shopping center when I was a kid in (then-small-town) Marietta, Georgia! We all greeted it like some A-list celebrity. And we DID get wiener whistles - haven't thought about those in eons!

Gluten free doesn't have anything to do with whatever might be in the wheat or other grain used. Food is grown in and on the ground, not in sterile test tubes!
'Home made" might be cleaner, certainly fresher, but it's still not sterile!

There is a certain amount of rat poop allowed in a bushel of wheat that is ground into flour. Sad but true. The way it is worded is not poop but pellets. Rat pellets. That I guess makes it more acceptable to the public some how. I think there are 2 standards. First the USDA and then the State standard. State standards can be stricter than Federal from what I remember from years past. Buying organic does not mean no rat poop. Rat poop is organic too.

Yes, but other grains are used, and none of them grow in test tubes!
Happily, most/ nearly all of use don't have issues with eating gluten. And baking bread kills any nasty stuff that might be present.
