I remember back when seeing road signs out in the county back roads shot full of holes. They were used for target shooting from the looks of them.

Still have that but now more dents instead of holes. I bet it's because they make the signs out of stronger metal now so the bullets ricochet instead of going through.

Still a thing on the country roads around here. In "town" the problem is school kids plastering the signs with all kinds of colorful stickers. Still vandalism, sigh.

Why can't they shoot empty cans & bottles off logs in the woods like we did? Oh, and Dad had us kids shoot at political signs with our .22s if anyone planted them along our piney-woods road back in Georgia. "Vote for -- " (PING!)
