I love the clocks and my mother (the interior designer) had her fireplace very similar. Very minimalist, with I think aspen logs. They were a little whiter than yours.

It is electric. If it is plugged in the fake logs light up.

Ohhh, yes! As a horse-crazy kid, i devoured all of those! King of the Wind was a special favorite with illustrations I remember to this day.

I have two of those! Inherited my Mom's... They go up every year on the curio cabinet and sideboard displays, though with my 3-year-old grandson staying here over Christmas, maybe I'll put them up out of climbing reach for a few years!

My Grandmother had a fake silver Christmas tree, with this color changing thingie, so the tree kept changing colors. Anyone remember those?

Oh, yes! Some of our neighbors had those when I was growing up in Georgia, the kids always wanting to turn on the color wheel when they had company. I thought it was interesting but kind of weird, my family being "real tree" traditionalists; at least those neighbors didn't have a problem with cats napping up in the branches like our next-door neighbors (also "real tree" folks) did!

And as technology marches on - last year DH replaced our old & failing tree lights with multicolored LED strings you can program to flash different color sequences and change with a remote.

There are so many remotes floating around here for different things, I have no idea which goes to what most of the time. A retired engineer and his toys...
