I'm so old I Remember when:

This link will tell you how dangerous this toy is & the name also!

Oh! I don’t remember the name Ker Banger. But clacker ball rings a bell. Maybe mine were generic.
Mine never shattered but if you got the rhythm wrong they could hit you on the hands or arm, and you needed to keep your arm extended or they could hit you in the face.
They were fun and the sound of them hitting when you were doing it right was very satisfying!

Strangely I have a sort of muscle memory about how to do it. Start low and build up momentum until the balls had enough speed to swing vertically up and hit both top and bottom. Bet I could still do it if I found mine in the attic!

I'm not surprised, honestly. When I worked at Olive Garden many moons ago, we cooked everything(not the pasta) fresh in the morning. The sauces, soups, lasagna... I wouldn't be shocked if things were brought in frozen now

Through a lil internet investigation it appears some live are available with a majority "fresh" (read flash frozen). It seems that they hope customers will take that live and fresh are the same thing.

What I saw were the tails already butterflied in the plastic that can be pulled apart like some sausages come in.

Butter knife
Or spoon

How many still do this when there are no buns around?

Or when you had leftover buns and had Bert and Ernie sandwiched?

We did it cause no funds was around. Matter of fact as a kid I'd roast hotdogs over the flame from the range. Ate so many one time that I never ate any again. At 48 years old I still get nauseated thinking about what I did when I was probably around 10.

We had an electric range and I'd roll them around on the burner. Smoked the kitchen up, smelled like hell and tasted awful but I ate so so many that way.
