I'm so old I Remember when:

When someone who loves you gives you the tools of their trade pay attention.
When I got my daughter a set of hand tools, the side cutters were offset Kleins, the slip joint plyers were Channel locks, the screwdrivers were Craftsmen, testers were Flukes, etc.
I found one of my Dad's old metal tool boxes and painted it in a color she picked. Legacy of a third generation electrician.
Now that’s awesome! I love seeing girls in the trades, my dad taught both us girls how to use power tools, to drive and all about Safety 😊

Both of ours still do. It blows my mind that people pay for air
I remember when bottled water became big. I couldn't and still can't wrap my head around people paying what they do for a small bottle of water.
If I ever get on a drinking water kick and pay for it you'll see me carrying around a gallon jug of it.

Before my time, when the govt. encouraged self-sufficiency.
