I remember when phones were made with two tin cans connected by a string.

Nextel was the fad.....

I remember in the fire department each truck had a nextel in addition to the regular 800 band radios. During the big anthrax scare whenever that was (sometime around 9-11 if i recall right, I was on a hazmat unit and we were getting so many calls about "anthrax" our district chief made us and dispatch do anthrax calls through the nextel cause it was clogging up our regular radio so much.
