I'm so old I Remember when:

No, I actually like snakes and will make sure they survive and thrive. I have no fear of them and find them to be very beneficial.
I'm only afraid of them if they surprise me. I'll hold it if someone hands it to me or I can pick it up myself from inside its' terrarium, but in the open? Nope! We have copperheads and water moccasins, along with the non-dangerous garters, blacks and other local inhabitants, but until I get a good look at what's slithering through the grass, "Get thee back, ya little bugger!"

I never had a fear of snakes venomous or otherwise. Certainly deserve to be respectful of poisonous ones, obviously, but I have never felt threatened by any of them. In fact, when younger I venturing into some of the rattlesnake hunts that took place in Pennsylvania. I do have my coop and run snake proof however......I think.

It's too much work to grow blueberries where I live so I don't bother. My bruh-bruh OTOH lives in beautiful Upstate NY where they thrive. After about 30 gallons last year he pulled back the bird netting and let them finish the harvest.
That’s a thought. We probably still have 15 to 20 lbs. frozen from last year. And this after overloading on blueberry pies, buckles, muffins, pancakes, and just plain berries. We give some away when fresh but the frozen ones just don’t have the same appeal to be given away.

My brother is a big fan of snakes dying as well. In fact he helps them along as often as he sees one. 👍

Me? Depends on the species but I do shudder and sometimes jump when even a helpful one slithers into my sight. Moccasins - gone. Copperheads - gone. Rattlers - gone. Garters - just go chase toads in someone else's flower bed while I'm weeding.
I generally like snakes. Garter snakes were popular pets when I was growing up. They're cute. Once I (along with several other people) got to hold an enormous boa constrictor at Disneyland. Not too many people can say that.

But I hate pit vipers. 🤬

We buy big bags of organic blueberries at Costco. We add them to the dog's food and the chickens love frozen blueberries on hot days.

I can never resist baking with blueberries. We just finished up a blueberry bread I made the day before yesterday. It was wonderful with tea or coffee.

You reminded me that the chickens ABSOLUTELY WIG OUT when we give them blueberries, ditto for pieces of grape. We risk serious injury when offering either to them.:D
