I still have my marbles. Not as in my brain, as that is debatable, but my schoolyard marbles. I keep them in a glass jar - some of them are beautiful.
It was a tough life lesson though because it was a real winner takes all situation as I recall.
I have a small suitcase full with marbles on the attick. They belong to MDS.
He was a champion in winning marbles.
I tried to pursued him to lose more often to keep friends at school. He didn’t grasp it and marbles kept coming in.

That can't cause Myopia. It may be able to make it worse and it can cause other problems but it is not the underlying cause.

Hyperopia is also genetic.

Presbyopia changes with age.
I have both.
Wearing jar-glasses from 9yo.

Nowadays I have one lens adjusted for long-sight and on lens adjusted for reading/computer.

FYI Your implied intent appears that you meant to use persuade.

persuade = "1. : to move by argument, entreaty, or expostulation to a belief, position, or course of action. 2. : to plead with : urge."

pursued = "1. follow (someone or something) in order to catch or attack them.
"the officer pursued the van"

synonyms: go after, run after, follow, chase, give chase to, hunt, stalk, track, trail, trace, shadow, dog, hound, course, tail

2. (of a person or way) continue or proceed along (a path or route).
"the road pursued a straight course over the scrubland""

You’re absolutely right. 👍
Thanks for pointing it out.

Persuading my chickens to stay within the garden boundaries is a complete waste of time . But I do pursue my chickens sometimes if I want to see were they are going. 😏

I have a question for you old people. What exactly came in Cracker Jack boxes? The one time I had some I was sorely disappointed it was just a sticker or something because I had been told there would be a trinket or something like that.
little toys, decoder rings, miniature compasses, tattoo patches, and the like. They really cheaped out just like the cereal makers who also used to have toys in them.

The coolest thing I got was a whistle that I could play different notes on.

A friend got a tiny little horse that would toss its rider when you pushed a lever.
