I have a similar problem with a neighbour cat who comes in the run and coop to eat chicken feed.I had to stop leaving the main coop door open when my horse decided it was great to hang out in the coop and would lift the lid off of the feeder and help himself to the chicken feed.
I remember working on a student project for a Philips vacuum cleaner . The aim was to minimise everything so it would last at least 5 years, but not much longer.I remember when vacuum cleaners would pick things up on the first pass and they lasted 30+ years.
Well, the 2nd amendment is still alive and well. Just saying.I have a similar problem with a neighbour cat who comes in the run and coop to eat chicken feed.
When my chickens free range, I always put the door on a hinge and leave a small opening. If I make the opening so small the cat can’t come in, the chickens can’t either.
Any ideas to solve this ‘problem’ are welcome.![]()
