I used Pampers on my son (born 1975) but his sister (1978) was allergic to them, so cloth diapers it was, for her.

We started with square cotton diapers you had to fold for my oldest. Bought special used special reusable all-in-one diapers when I didn’t have to change size anymore. Used Pampers only on outings.

The reusable all-in-one diapers didn’t work with my second baby bc his poop was too thin and I had to change clothes too many times. Up to 4- 5 times a day. Pampers were the only diapers that made my live bearable.

My mother said she started me with cloth diapers in 1970. Then someone gave her a Pampers and she never went back.

It was one of the few things she felt were worth the environmental cost.

I remember 9/11

I watched our local news every morning

After taking my children to school and day care

Plane 1
I was home in the shower getting ready for work

I watched on the news live

And for the first and only time that I remember
It took a while to make any phone calls
All circuits were busy

I for one, as a male viewer, find the advent of the bikini one of life’s greatest imventions.

I know I wouldn’t be caught dead in one. Besides, if I ever did innocent bystanders could possible perish……because they’d want to.
