Made me laugh even while I didn’t know what Feniments are.
I know what Chiclets are, but what the heck are Feniments? I understand it must have been that made the thief nauseous or disgusted in one way or another.

I remember the platforms were fashion, but as a child I never had the extreme high ones. Sure I want those the next time I go to a concert in a park and be able to look over everyone’s shoulders.

Even with eight inch platforms, I couldn't look over anyone's head! I use to tell potential bullies that, while it was true that "Good things come in small packages, so do poison and dynamite, so, Watch your Step." Worked every time and made me some unlikely friends, as well!

Lol, I always say "like diamonds..." with a sweet smile, and then, "and dynamite!" with a rather different kind of smile. Seems to work.

When I moved to a tiny one light town in eastern Oklahoma 25 years ago, their little convenience store was called Tote-A-Poke. I thought that was the funniest and one of the most inventive names I'd ever come across.
The thing that culture shocked me the most about that move, though, was that you could go into any store barefoot and no one thought twice about it.

Weather permitting I was always barefoot until the signs were posted no shoes shirt no service

I remember going to the 1984 world’s fair and rode the Amtrak train from mobile to New Orleans

Does anyone remember playing red rover? And getting clotheslined trying to break through the line of kids. Ah those were the days.

I remember playing Red Rover, jump rope and Chinese jump rope

I could run in and out of jump rope until I tripped and fell and then they had to start and stop the jump rope for me

I never was good at double Dutch jump rope
