I'm so old I Remember when:

:lau I wondered how long it would take for someone to throw penicillin at me.

Phht, there's mold ... and then there's mold! I ain't gonna lick anybody's shower, I promise you that.
Stupid Fact of the Day: You can be allergic to penicillin and still eat moldy bread. Doesn't make sense, but it's a fact I learned in what could have been "The Hard Way," but luckily wasn't!

What's wrong with Craftsman? They were always a good name. I thought...
They used to have 3 levels of tools. The best was the Professional and they were really good tools. The other 2 were just a midgrade and then a really cheap one and those were not so good. I don't know that they still have the 3 different levels since Stanley Black and Decker bought them. I don't think they do, though. It seems like they are all kind of midgrade tools. Not really bad, but nothing like their Professional.

They also used to have a lifetime warranty that didn't even require a receipt, but now it is quite a bit tougher to get a broken tool repaired or replaced. If I remember correctly it has changed to 25 years instead of lifetime and you must have receipt and it still can be tough to get honored.

Did anyone's mom or grandmother crochet things with empty bread bags? I remember seeing those when I was a kid. They would twist the bags to make a rope-like strand that they could crochet things with.

Nope. But crocheted rag rugs were a thing Mom and her sisters (and possibly every other farm family in the state) made. Wish I still had one.
Ahh, nostalgia.

We still do it, but we use plastic grocery bags cut into strips. It's even got a fancy name, now - plarn - for plastic yarn!
