I'm so old I Remember when:

Did you guys have to climb a rope in gym? I don't know anyone who actually had to do this.

I did! it was fun.
Remember the badges you could earn for physical fitness? I got the presidential badge one year, wish I still had it. I don't know what happened to it but I had been saving it for years.

Wow. Congratulations!
Nobody would ever give me a medal for physical fitness, but I was like a little monkey on those ropes and could easily get up to the very top and hang out!

Not if someone is holding a gun to your head. You are ordering pizza...... then.
Two years I broke my hip in a farm accident. While on the ground I called 911 from my cellphone. The 911 operator knew where I was before I told her. It wasn't an exact location where I was laying but it was very close. The triangulation was done from the cell towers and my cell's GPS.
A few years ago, on our local news station, announced if you were in danger and had to remain quiet you could text 911. The 911 operator would would return your call by text.

I skipped most of these pages so I don't know if this has been said but I remember drinking from a garden hose, not wearing a helmet, and sitting backwards in the family station wagon. And I lived!
Or kids always road in the bed of our pickup. The pickup had an insulated cap an an old mattress for them to sit on, we didn't own a car.
Our oldest daughter was trying to bring her husband to a camping area that she had went us. She had to keep pulling her car over so she could get out and look backwards. That was the only way she could remember the road.

Texting 911 isn't available across the whole US as far as I know.
