It could be something from Star Trek, I like the way you think! But it's just a label maker. You turned the disk to select which letter you wanted and squeezed the handle.

Still got mine. It works great. But painters tape and a Sharpie are quicker to use.

I remember skating rinks. And, Drive Ins.

My boyfriend (Hubby) and I were roller-skate dance partners. We were going to represent our local rink in a dance competition late in the fall of 1966. We had practiced the "Collegiate" dance steps for months. We never did compete. My boyfriend (Hubby) was a Sailor and his Destroyer Squadron sailed for Vietnam October 1966, the competition was in November.
