I'm so old I Remember when:

Does ice cream still come in a box? I remember going to birthday parties as a kid and they'd dump the ice cream out in a big brick and cut it up so instead of a scoop you got a square. 😄

This ad is from 1958 which was before my time, but even when I lived there in the 70s there were several dairies, ranches, and riding stables around town. This dairy was just 6 minutes from our house. Over time they were all made into housing developments. 🙁

In Ontario, Chino, and the surrounding areas (in CA) I have seen several of what appeared to be abandoned dairy farms...I guess this explains them!

Over here (El Paso area) they're turning old farms into big housing developments. The city is also just ignoring the citizens and not giving them a chance to speak at meetings.

They're doing that here too. So many people are moving to the area...they're selling all the farmland and building housing developments. And gas stations. I think there's been a new gas station built every six months! At least our council has public meetings - whether or not they actually listen to the citizens I don't know.

I'll bet they don't listen.

Here it's car washes. They're everywhere.
